My father is now in his seventies and the best gift I can give him is time.I make sure I call him often,visit him as much as I can,and just remind him I am only 1 1/2 hours away should he ever need me for anything.Most fathers just like spending time with their children.It is the most valuable thing you could give him.

The best gift you can give your dad is a big hug and a reminder how much you love him. I lost my dad to cancer at age 59 and he was every bit the same as you describe your dad. I still miss him dearly. I was 25 and I'm now 56 so remember to show your love while he's still here. {Hugs}
