I read in todays newspaper, that in in india an elite university is going to restrict students from using the internet.
They say that students are on the net so much that they do not even know who stays two doors down from them, and it is also affecting there studies, as students are surfing and chatting online through out the night, they cant seem to concentrate during the day and they also sleep in class..
What do u think???

hehe.. i guess your rite, but some ppl look at it in another way, ur trying to earn something so it is not a total waste of time.. but if u look at it in a businessmans point of view.. its a waste of time, as ur not getting value for the time spent here

I think that all too foten people are being told what to do and people should jut learn to make decisions for themselves.
If this universities students want to stay up all night and surf the web then that should be their choice and if they fail uni then it's their own problems.
The goverment are the same, always telling people how to run their lives and making rules for everyone when they should be able to make decisions and face the consequences themselves.
I just think we hsould get all the university students on myLot, prefereably as my referrals and then we can have some really well written interesting discussions on the go. Lol.

I think it all boils down to proper time management. The students themselves should know how to manage their time according to their priorities. I guess if the university's administrators are really after the students' welfare, then I think it's good for them to restrict students from using the Internet too much, but only within the school's premises.

I think people, students in this case should be allowed to do what they want with their time. It doesn't take the internet to cause failure, lack of discipline is the cause of that!
