Why Are We Always Complaining?

I have observed that we, human beings, like to complain. We complain even at the slightest thing which we are not comfortable with.
Do you have friends who are always complaining? Do you listen to the complaints? Or do you join in the complain? Or are you the angel who do not complain at all?

I complain a fair bit. And I think my friends do the same.
After all, what are friends for if not to complain to? :P

LOL...whyaskq, I have to tell you, I'm part angel and part evil. I don't think there's anyone here who never complained in their life. I complain if there really should be something to complain about. It depends on the situation. But I hate people who keeps complaining a lot. You explain one thing and yet they refuse to cease their mouth, now that's a different case.

If you have everything in life there will be plenty of complaints.
If one belongs to midle class of upper middleclass (incomewise), they have plenty of complaints most of them related to money or small complaints.
If you do not have anything, you have only one complaint - I must get everything!!
This is the essence of life.

I guess there's none here on earth who hasn't complained all his life. If there's one then he must be a real angel.. :P
personally, I do complain at times..but not really too much. And my friends are also pretty like me..we take turns on lending a listening ear when one of us feels like complaining.. :P

I'm not much of a 'complainant' or shall I say, person who keeps on complaining about every single thing. I think this is because I have a high tolerance for almost everything except pain. When one thing is to the extreme, or let's say I have tolerated something for a long time already, then I start complaining. In this sense, I get surprised when some people would complain even about a trivial matter. My mother told me before that people who complain a lot are not very happy or comfortable with their lives, or they want to attract attention. Well, in some instances, this must hold true. My previous classmates or colleagues who complained a lot in the past were actually the ones with unhappy marriages or family life, who are unsuccessful with their jobs, or who need a lot of help in their lives. Anyway, great discussion!
