choice of subject

After My lot has modified its panel I find they have removed the choice of subjects on which discussions can be invited.I hope you agree with me. If Iam wrong then plese tell me how do i start a discussion on the subject of my choice.Ican hear you saying you can start it as your own discussion but how do I know what other people have said earlier?Previously we had this choice but now we dont have this. Now most of the topics under discusion are personal. That is why the question arises" Is my lot only apersonal forum?"
