I also thought this might be a joke. I don't want to offend you in any way , but, Americsn Idol started only 6 years ago. If your thinking of some other program, please post here, so we might be able to help you with your database.

the Winner of American Idol 2006 was Taylor Hicks. Hope that helps whatever you are doing.

Erm I hate to say this but, do you really watch this show? I don't mean to be rude. I'm far away from America but I know it started 6 years ago coz it's the 6th AI this year. Watch more of it. It's a good show haha.

1976?? American Idol wasn't around in 1976...lol. Are you sure you aren't referring to a different contest that is similar?

I'm from Australia but I'm fairly certain that American Idol wasn't around in 1976.

There was no American Idol in 1976, I believe the first one was around 2001 maybe 2002. Sorry to burst your bubble, are you thinking of something else maybe?
