Actor and Former Senator Fred Thompson is considering a run in 2008.
Keep this civil and no character attacks.
He served as a Senator from Tenn. until 2003 when he decided to take up acting full time.
ISSUES:
1) "PRO LIFE" believes Roe v Wade should be overturned
2) Opposes Gay Marriage but believes states should decide on Civil Unions
3) Opposes Gun Control
4) Supports the troop surge
5) Would Pardon Libby
6) Wants tax cuts

It sounds like he has the right ideas.
There are many issues that should be decided by the states instead of the Feds.
We need someone that will get back to the Constitution too.

In a sea of "most conservative, but not really conservative" republican candidates, Fred Thompson would be the true conservative on the republican ticket.
He has a lot more experience than the front runners, so no one could say he's not qualified, I mean how many other candidates have been involved in national and international politics since the 70s?

He definitely has the right ideas. And furthermore, I will be ecstatic just to see any republican elected in 2008.
