To be a kid again...

I checked out the discussions and while this topic has been done more than once, I am doing it with a twist!
Here is the deal: you are given the chance to be a kid again for one day only. The whole time you are a kid you are aware that you will go back to being an adult and that you are an adult "for real". Even though you KNOW you are an adult in real life you are removed from the responsibilities of being an adult for the day. No worries of your current life will be upon you- you have the chance to be care-free all day. It is not stressful for you to know that it will end because you are a kid that isn't aware of time as an adult would be.
So know that you know the "rules", if you had the chance to be a kid again for one day only, what would you do all day?
I would go outside and do cartwheels, flips and all of the things that I used to be able to do but cannot anymore. I would go to a playground and hang upside down, fly around on the tire swings and splash in the muddy water of the creek next to the playground. I say this because the other day I was trying to hang from the monkey bars and couldn't do it without pain (i am only 25 for god's sake...but it still hurt!) I won't play in muddy water anymore for fear of bugs or germs. If I can see the bottom I am ok...if not I am a little freaked out. As a kid I wouldn't care.
I would go exploring with some close friends, play at their houses, running in and out of everyones house all day without worry that I was letting out the heat or AC. I would ride my bike, play hide and go seek throughout the whole neighborhood. Play freeze-tag or regular tag through the whole neighborhood. I would play video games for hours...
Funny thing is that I could do most of those things now...but don't because of bills or work or other responsibilities that i have to worry about.
Your turn!

I believe that I would go back to my childhood neighborhood and play with all the kids there because that was such a shaping part of my life and really has had a major impact on my life as it is today. I would ride bikes, skate, walk down to the gas station and get sodas and candy like I use to. I would refuse to go inside after dark, go kiss my boyfriend under the bridge and laugh at the prospect of being caught--(assuming he was granted this privilege the same day as I)--and I would bother mom while she was doing the housework like I always use to, and stay up late watching movies, listening to music, and not having to worry about getting up so early.... Talk on the phone and play video and board games for hours... run in the sprinklers and have a water balloon fight... gosh I could go on forever.
I think I will do one of these things every day to bring back a sense of my childhood while remaining a responsible adult. I'm off to go play video games with my son for a little while (he has a vtech vsmile) when he goes to bed tonight I'll play xbox till I can't see anymore! Woohoo!

haha I was thinking the same thing- just about everything I listed is totally doable right now! As I was reading what I wrote I was wondering why I wasn't doing these things now. Why can't I re-live my childhood every so often?!
At least once a week I am going to be a kid again!!!

If I could go back for only one day... I think I would spend the entire time hanging out with my grandma and grandpa. Most of the good memories I have are of being with them. I lost my grandpa about 4 years ago and I really miss him alot! To have one more day with him, especially as a child would be wonderful! Can you arrange that? j/k :)
