Extensible markup language (xml) It is a descendant of SGML. Xml is relatively a new language .Xml is used to define which data are displayed on a web page whereas html determines how a page is displayed. Xml allows designers to easily describe and deliver structured data from any application in a standard, consistent way.Html describes a page’s layout and html cannot describe a page’s actual content because it cannot interpret the meaning of data on a page.
