Do you remember the first book you have red and its title? How old was you?Have you still it? Thefist book I red was a greek mythology of Prometeus revisioned for children. The original title is "Prometheus" From that moment I falled in love with the ancient greek world and I love so much the greek mytology. Two years ago my aunt found that book and she sent it to me,I was so happy and touched when I saw it.Now it's in my library and every time I look at it I have a lot of beautiful memories.

Yes I do remember, it was called Where the red fern grows. Shortly after that one I read Charlottes Web and from those 2 books I grew to have a great love of reading and the worlds it takes me to. I do have copies of both in my library.

That was the first book I remember reading too! I read it in 7th grade! That book was awesome! I don't remember much about it but I know the main character was a little boy with blue overalls, am I right?

If I'm not mistaken, the very first book I've red was of John Grisham's -'The Client'. It was then in demand, and the book was really different from the movie. I enjoyed reading it, the author did made the b=very best in writing the story. As I also recall, John Grisham also has a background in law, and that he applied most of it on his own novels..

My first book was the Black Beauty. I guess I was 9 or 10 when I red it. I loved it so much that I just fell in love with horses and have loved horses all my life. I dont have that book noe as I had borrowed it from a friend and I finised it in just 3 hrs. My friend was shocked when I went to return her book the same day evening.

Wizard of Oz, that's the title of the first book that I have read. I can't remember how old I was when I read that book. My elder sister borrowed it from the library. Since then, I developed a fascination for fantasy books.

I remember the book that I read during my school. It was my English text book with a story in it by the name "Kutchu's Glasses". It was the story of a man who searches for his glasses all over his house while having it on his nose. It was a roaring humour at that stage. Thinking about decent novels, I think my first was "Not a penny more, Not a Penny Less". Cheers! Ram

It was about Sharing and I must be in Kindergarten at that age. I guess book name was itself 'Sharing' but not sure. I took it from library with my uncle and I so much loved it that I read it so many times that you can't even imagine. There were two friends who shared an apple. It was so nice.

I first read "Chicken Little" when I was 3. My mom thought I had it memorized, so she gave me a different copy that had slightly different language and names from what I was used to. It took me a couple extra minutes, but I read it! When you say the first book you read was a novel of some sort, are you not counting the little kid introductory books, or were you just not interested in reading before that?

The first book I read was Alice in Wonderland. It had the big text on one page and pictures with a summary on the other. I made myself learn how to read it because I knew my mom was skipping parts LOL I started by reading the picture pages only and the "upgraded" to the text only version. I still like that book:) As for greek mythology I was early acquainted with it too and I loved it- still do. I made my mom get me this full collection that they had for school children and then later on I continued adding to my greek mythology library.

Well, I guess the first book I have read was Goldilocks and the Three Bears. I was probably about 4 or 5 years old then and it was, if I remember it right, the first time I was able to read something by myself. Unfortunately, I cannot find this book now, I must have put it somewhere away. However, I hope I will manage to find it.
