We've been hearing that for years, decades, centuries. There are plenty of signs that it might be at hand (war, pollution, disease, terrorism, global warming, etc.). But, I think the hues and cries about the end of the world are still a bit premature. Just in case, however, I've made my peace with myself and my God.

There are requisites for the world to end and some have been satisfied but some are not yet such as the number of those who are killed for the glory of God and the number of those who will be saved. It is God who determines these. God wants many people to be with Him. With the kind of people we have now, I don't think these could be easily met.

Nobody knows. The Bible says that we don't know when the Lord will come again and God commands all of us to be ready because the Lord may come when no one expects.

About to end? Not because we see things that are mentioned in the Bible for the world nearing to end that we conclude that the world is going to end already. The signs have been there long time ago. Nobody knows when the world is going to end. God says that we should be prepared always and we should so that anytime that the world is ending, we are prepared.

It's certainly been predicted long enough. I think, however, that we have never been in such a place in history that is more likely than right now. With nuclear weapons, chemical warfare and other weapons of mass production we could end the world with practically one touch of a button. With modern banking and financial setups, one person could literally take over the world. Direct deposit, charge cards, ATM cards and computer banking could eliminate cash money and people would need special id's to get money to buy and sell. With environmental problems like global warming and holes in the ozone, we may run out of natural resources, before the end of this century, including air to breathe. There are plenty of reasons the world could end tomorrow. So, there are plenty of reasons to live each day as if it were your last. As someone else said, make your peace with God (as you understand him/her), keep your affairs in order, love others and take the time to smell the roses.

It's certainly been predicted long enough! I think we are getting close though. I think technology-wise we are in a place where many of the Biblical prophecies can come true. With communications and economic affiliations, the stage is set for a single person to be able to take over world control. Credit cards and ATM cards can eliminate the need for cash altogether and require a special ID in order to make or spend money. Weapons of mass destruction give us the capability of destroying the world. Global warning and dangerously low reserves of vital natural resources may kill off living beings.
