just breath hard...and count one to ten..its effective to me..
sometimes i will go somewhere to unwind like to the park or to the nearby beach..shopping can be one too..hehehe...

i try to re-affirm the truth that "anger punishes the angry." it's amazing that it's not a religious slogan, but a truth for all thinking creatures.
The Daila Lama said: "We are punished by our anger, not for our anger."
It seems anger is one of the few sins which has a negative effect that is simultaneous with the commiting the sin. For instance, stealing seems to provide temporary joy in acquiring what is not one's own. Anger on the other hand is negative all the way :)

When I realize that I start to get a little upset, I usually pour my negative energy into something that I am good at like writing or reading. Working on crafts or doing yoga or dancing. Sometimes it works out all the stress and anger and on top of that, not only am I getting something accomplished but I feel better because I am doing something I am good at and I can see how that makes me feel.
