Beauty pageant is different from choosing two people for president. In beauty pageant you can have many contestant.It's just a contest for beauty anyway. While in the president category. It's not easy to run for president. Only few leaders had the guts, courage and right qualification to run for the highest office in the land. It would have been a mess if there are 50 candates to run for president.

We don't. We have the right to vote for whomever we would like. As long as they are 35 and a US Citizen by birth. We typically just vote for one of two people because of the way the system works.
