I really adore this movie (as well as the other two movies in the "Red Curtain" trilogy). My favorite part is definitely at the party when they are playing "Young Hearts Run Free." Mercutio is just great in that scene.

Hmm I never heard of this triology. I looked it up, and I have seen (and own) Moulin Rouge. Love that one.
That is a good scene!

I have seen this movie, I actually remember seeing it in the movie theatre with my girlfriends when I was in high school. I like this version a lot. I also like the classic version as well. I like both in different respects because they represent two different things, classic and modernity. I always like Juilet and consider her my favorite character in both versions. I love the closing quote by the narrator, so I guess that would be my favorite.

I have seen this version, but honestly I was not that impressed, and it is nothing like you imagine. Now if they could have done more with this movie like they did with Titanic to help it sell, and make it go smoother it would have been better. But I have seen a lot more versions done better than this for sure.

Loved that movie. I especially liked the way that the dialogue remained the same as Shakespeare wrote it, but the characters and settings were modern, because it made the movie different from others. I can't pick a favorite part, cause I loved the whole movie... well, maybe the "Young Hearts Run Free" part, and the wedding scene... and the songs, of course, especially "Lovefool" by the Cardigans. Shakespeare made the characters memorable, but casting Mercutio as a cross-dressing African American was a stroke of genius! Hey, I fell in love with Leo in this movie (this was before the Jack (Titanic) days)!

The movie is good.. it was modernized.. i just hope that they even modernized the lines, or dialogues in the movie.. I heard leonardo don't want to wear tights because he will look thin as he is so the producer and the director and costume designer decided to make it in modern but, haven't changed the way they spoke there! :)

I really like it, but the I love all things Baz.
The only thing that bothers me is when they skip over lines in major speeches- it pulls me out of the story when I find myself thinking "Hey! That's not the next line!"
