Does anyone else own a Cuttlebug die cast machine? I have a question...

I just got mine today, and it looks so neat so far - I can't wait to get an alphabet die and really get to work! But I do have one question...I bought a squares die to use with it, and I set it up just the way that the instruction manual said to - the thick A pad on the bottom, a clear B pad on top of that, the die next, the paper next, and topped it off with another clear B pad. It ran through and cut the squares with no problem, but it also left an imprint of the whole die in the top clear B pad - like it actually cut into the plastic a bit, just not all the way through. I'm sure it'll never fade off, it's that deep. Is this normal? It didn't say anything about it in the instruction manual...and I sure don't want to break it when I've just gotten it. Any tips, please?

Congrats on your Cuttlebug purchase! I love mine! It is perfectly normal for it to leave an imprint on the B pad. It will leave an imprint every time you use it. Eventually you will have to replace the B pad, they say after about 500 cuts. You can switch the B pads and turn them around so that they last longer, using both sides. Also make sure you alternate the B pads because they will warp. I usually cut with one side then turn it over. Next time I will use the B pad that was on the bottom. Hope this helps! If you have any other questions about the Cuttlebug let me know. Happy Scrappin!

Thank you so much! It's a relief to know I didn't ruin it. You'd think they'd mention that in the user's manual somewhere!

As already stated it is perfectly normal for an imprint to be left, in fact my sizzix does the same thing.
