as much as ive always loved this movie, and thought it would be wonderful to do this the way the movie says it,
someone here in australia has officially started the pay it forward day in australia today but is slightly different to the movie...in the movie its big changes and help you give, with this, its even as small and simple as payin for someone elses bus ticket. there are pay it forward cards to print off too and when you do a good deed, you tick the card and give the card to the person you helped...
if you do this....please share your experiences and good deeds that you give or even receive!!!
http://www.payitforwardday.com/ is the site
and this is the page where you can print the cards
www.payitforwardday.com/PIF_Card.pdf
the pay it forward movement is one we should all try and be involved in, even in small ways (though if i had the means id do the big ones like in the movie)

First of all, I did see the movie. I fell in love with this movie the very first time I watched it. I can honestly say that I have never cried so hard while watching any other movie as I did for this movie. I wanted everyone to watch this movie. I lived in an apartment complex at the time when I rented this movie. It was the weekend when I rented this movie, therefore, I took this movie to six different apartments and had 6 different people watch it with me and I cried every single time I watched it!! It takes a lot for a movie to make me cry, but this one, oh my gosh!! This one really impacted me. My oldest child was only 9 at the time and he bawled his eyes out too.
I love the idea of someone starting an actual "Pay it forward" Day. I will certainly check out that link and hopefully I can get some of those cards printed out. That would be such a great thing to do. I don't have a printer right now but I believe I can do it at the library here in my town. Thank you for sharing this with us, what a better place the world would be if everyone cared.

That sounds like a great idea. Sometimes it's just simple things that can make someone's day. But to do it right it needs to be something difficult, something hard for you to do.
BTW: If you really liked PIF, try Second Hand Lions. It is a fantastic family movie with Michael Cain and Robert Duvall in addition to Haley. It's one of my all time favs. So much so that when I lent out a copy and it didn't come back I bought another immediately.

in the movie it said something big...not necessarily hard for the one doing the good deed.....
and the movement is to show i guess that we can all do something to help someone in every day living...and thats better than doing nothing like most do these days.
i always meant to watch that movie but cant remember if i got to watch it ( i have a bad memory and used to work in a vid shop so saw heaps of movies) ill have to watch it again...
thanks for sharing

WOW! what a great idea. If a lot of people will start this action of pay it forward, our world will be more different. Their will be less crimes and they will think more about the needs of other people. I wish people could also do that here in the Philippines.
