I don't know why, but I just got hit by a serious craving for a Krispy Kreme dougnut. This is serious because I'm actually considering driving to the closest shop which is about 20 miles away and it is rushhour right now.
I never had cravings for sweets until my wife got pregnant with our first child. Isn't it suppost to work the other way around?

Aw geeze Rjbass,
I see that I'm too late. I was going to talk you down. I had my psych-ops speech all prepared ...
"Just put down the car keys and back away from the door, RJ. It's just not worth it. That Krispy Kreme is gonna' land you in a world of hurt. Now back away from that door."
How'd I do? Would it have worked?
I've heard of husband's getting cravings for their wives before, but only during the pregnancy. I'm actually thinking that you've just got a thing for those Krispy Kreme's.
I have the perfect solution ... work in a doughnut shop for a month -- you'll never want to eat them again. It worked for me. Dunkin Donuts was my first job as a teenager. It ruined me for doughnuts for ever more!

It almost worked...lol. I actually just brought in a dozen to work for my colleagues....and me...hehe.
The good thing about Kripy Kremes is that the closest stoer is about a half hour away from where I live so that is a deterrent in itself. The bad thing is it is located on the way to work.
I can imagine that if I were to have worked in a doghnut shop or even a fast food restaurant, I would have no appetite for either and these two things are my health downfalls.

There is a thing such as sympathy pregnancy. Am glad you are sharing this with your wife. I think you will understand her situation better for it. I am hoping all goes well. Having children is a grand thing and may you have success for all of your days with any children that you have.

LOL...it's going to be okay!!!
My friend and I used to always get cravings for Taco Bell when we were in school. The closest taco bell was an hour away, but we drove at least once a month there!!! I would go and get a donut if I were you! :P

aww its cute that you experienced some of the symptoms of pregnancy with your wife. My first hubby gained more weight that I did, and he craved the weirdest things, I think tho that he might have been a little jealous that I was getting so much attention..lol...but who knows, our marriage eventually failed anyway, and I lost the weight and he still remained bigger than house...lol..he even fainted when his son was born, almost broke the nurses arm coz silly her tried to catch him as he was falling...hahaha!!

You got me laugh on this one. Yes it's supposed to be the other way around lol. I understand your cravings because I got mine too. When I have them it's usually for ice cream and chocolate. And if I don't have any at home I can ask my husband to drive me to the store to get them. Fortunately my husband is very patient and he accepts most of the time. But soon I'm going to get my driver's license and I will not bother anyone when I have my cravings and need to drive to the store.
