Did I get duped?

I just did it again, sending in money to make money! I do not know why I don't learn from my mistakes. What mother doesn't want to stay home and work with their child? That is my dream. I just paid $55 to assemble things at home, but the only reason I did it was that the company is right in my hometown. If they leave me hanging, I figured I could knock on their door and get my money back. I did research, after the fact, and they've been reported to the
BBB a handful of times. I also read positive things about them also. Oh well, we'll see if this works out.

I do hope you get paid. If you want more information on make a little cash at home please go to my website: www.smallcash.info
All the sites listed are free to join. You can start making $5.00/week and gradually increase as you build up your downline.
Make $10.00/week is realistic with no downline. I am writing a plan how I amake $10.00/week and hopefully I can post on my blog tomorrow: www.blogchex.com/insparetime

I agree with tjfire. Having just done extensive research on online businesses, and then looking at a consumer rated online business website, there are some that aren't scams, and have 60 day money back guarantees etc. The ones listed on this consumer site, DO cost to sign up for, but the money is for an extensive, detailed tutorial, and a lot of effort has gone into the production of this information, complete with their own research etc. The one I chose is producing some modest results for me at the moment, and so I'm sticking with it. In order to make it work, I've found that a person has to be very computer savvy, and know something about marketing and also have a desire to write. I don't believe it's a scam, but just takes a lot of time, skill, and dedication. I'm not even sure it's right for me, but am planning on giving it an honest effort before I say I've failed. As far as the assembly at home jobs, I've looked into them in the past, and haven't heard good reports about them. I once heard that no matter how hard a person tries, the company is never satisfied with the finished products, and therefore they don't pay for them. This was in jewellery making. I hope you find this helpful, and wish you all the best.

I worked for one of those jewelry places when I was young..Did my $50 (that I had to kick out first)following the directions and they looked exactly like the picture so I happily sent them back to the company at my exspense.. They wrote back saying they were not quite up to their standards so they wouldn't be paying me.. I never got a payment, the stuff back so I could keep it or sell it myself, nothing..So I think they are scam.. As far as the things I sell myself I bought them from reputable places that garuntee your money back..But word to the wise.. Any thing that they send you and you have to download or unzip or is digital is non-refundable..How can you prove that you took it off your computer and gave it back to them?? Think about it.. And after stating that you have the re-sell rights to anything you have bought that way for the same price you paid for it..Anybody here seeing the whole picture????? Tammy

Just being curious... why did you have to pay $55? What do you get for that? If they deliver tools for that, to work with, it might still be allright, if it is a signing up fee, I gather it is not so good... Then you will have to earn that money back in another way... just consult us for some good advice!

Yeah, I know. It was for materials and it's all refundable after they buy your product back. I have just read that assembly work are all scams because they always reject your work.

For years there had been a group of Nigerians operating from an office in the Netherlands sending spam to unsuspecting internet users, luring them in to giving up their bank account detaills and ripping them off for every penny they had. They would do this by creating a story about the daughter of some high ranking Nigerian official, who after the demise of her father was left in a very unstable and dangerous political climate with millions of dollars and no way of safely cashing in the money.
The randomly send email would play on the emotions of the reader, telling the person in question that it must be fate or God that allowed for this email to reach them (and presumably not the other millions of flooded email boxes) and if they were to help her by allowing her to transfer the funds internationally through their bank account it would allow her to leave the country and start a new life. Furthermore the email promised that in exchange for this great act of kindness, the person would be rewarded with 10, 20, or 30 percent of the total amount of dollars.
Having sparked the interest of these people, they would then set up an appointment to call them and discuss the detaills of how they could best go about (ripping them off) it. Ofcourse there were no millions to be rewarded, but alot of millions is said to have disappeared in the pockets of these thieves. Recently the entire operation was discovered and rolled up, however what should be noted is that there has been alot of media coverage on this very issue, and even documentaries exposing most of everything that went on all these years, but surprisingly nothing concrete ever happend untill now. The fact that such a widespread hatred of spam did not stop them from stealing the money with this very same tactic goes to show that we can never be carefull enough with our personal information.

I understand how you feel. I almost did a few work from home deals myself. However...never send money to anyone...that is what I have learned. Most of these places are just scams. It is better if you find something where you don't have to send in money. You could look into other ways to make a little extra income. Is there something you do well...? If so..then maybe you could go from there. Like babysitting...dogwalking..etc...

I'm sorry this has happened to you again but hopefully you'll learn now. Don't ever send money to a company in order to make money. It just doesn't work. I don't even give those companies a second glance.

wow, i don't trust ANY of these places. You may never hear from them again. Or, what i've heard of the assembly jobs is that they'll send you the materials, say you make, oh 100 items, and send them back. They'll reply that your manufacturing was inferior and you won't get paid...but i do wish you the best of luck!

I know the feeling of wanting to be able to work from home! I have been tempted so many times to pay for "business opportunities." I always stop myself though. Hopefully it works out for you. I wish you luck!

Ive delt with one of these companies before and didnt have a good expeience. The work was assembling products at home also. The problem with this program was that the products I was supposed to assemble were near impossible to actualy put together. Secondly the instuctions were photocopyies which were drawn by hand in ink and were also impossible to acurately read. Maybe you will have a better experience than I did tho . Good Luck

Assembly jobs are one of the biggest scams out there. There are only two or three companies that are real. Even the real companies are so picky about what you send in, that you rarely make a cent. You got scammed. You don't pay people to work at a job- they pay you. There are hundreds of work at home jobs that never request a penny.

To my knowledge many people are making money from money, they called it invesment which match with your saying of sending in money to make money.
But before we put in money, it's advisable to investigate the project. If you get the right one, money will come back to you:)!

oh tough luck dear!!!
i can understand your sentiment to want to stay at home and want to work with your child!! well there are lost of people and companies that are not worthwhile out there in the world and we cannot go about trusting everythign that sounds good to us!!
next time just go for offers that were recommended by the people you trust and people who have been paid!!
