i've read this one nice fact, people say "God Bless you!" when u sneeze because when u sneeze your heart stops for a milisecond, if u sneeze too hard, u can fracture a rib, if u try to suppress a sneeze, u can rupture a blood vessel and u could die..See how we entrust small things to GOD.. c:

I have heard that as well. In my part of the country I have noticed that most people just say "Bless You" and not the whole phrase. I wonder f they are uncomfortable saying it or if we just shorten it like we tend to do with everything else.

I don't know about the blood vessel thing, but the heart stopping is true. The actual reason people say God blees you is this...
In the fiftenth century (if I recall correctly) people thought that when you sneezed, you were expelling evil spirits. The pope passed a law stating that anytime you hear someone sneeze you must say God bless you.
I don't recall a punishment if you didn't, but it would be interesting to find out. Some old overlooked laws are still on the books. I wonder if this one is?
HMMM... something to think about!!
