Like it or not, there are some topics that just don't make sense here at mylot or other discussion forums. What constitute topics that "have sense" or "no sense", as far as YOU are concerned? What do you do when you encounter such topics?

I just ignore them and move on to the next one. I'm very choosy with the discussions I'm responding. There may be some threads that may be good but deemed as a sensitive issue to me, then I will hop on to the next one. :)

What makes sense to one might not make sense to others. So by this token, I would say that there is no "nonsense topic". If you don't like it, just skip it lol. :P

Basically "nonsense" would be stuff I would not understand or could not get what the person wants from the responses. Yep, I ignore them. I also would ignore topics which would result to debates. Like questions or attacks on religion. Everyone's entitled to their own faith. Topics that "have sense" might be those that can make me think or realize something. Where one can actually learn from, think upon, and stuff like that.

it depends on the kind of topic. if let's say it's a sensitive issue like religion, i wouldn't want to answer it, but if the topic is religion, under my faith, or not having faith, if I have an opinion of the topic that would be able to help the other person, i would answer it in as diplomatic as i can. but if those people who doesn't know how to spell, or textspeak as you have said, then by all means, let's ignore it

i believe that 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'... as in 'nonsense/ great topic is in the eye of the reader'. for me, some topics really are not my kind of topics, but hey, i do see lots of ppl replying to them still... so it's really hard to define. but from what ive seen, topics which are 'light' tends to be of more interests :) warmest regards QuaChee http://www.quachee.com http://www.batikinspirations.com http://www.quachee.blogspot.com http://www.batikinspirations.blogspot.com

If I don't understand what the person is actually starting the discussion is about, I leave and go on to the next one. You will never earn any money by dwelling on these oddball topics and trying to figure out how to respond.. Time is money.

I never answer topics where people are typing like they SMS. I can't stand a lot of abbreviations and it takes me more time to read all of them so I pass them up usually. Also sometimes the language barrier is just too heavy and I can't understand what someone's writing.

I don't like textspeak too. It irritates me because you don't really have space limitations here anyway, so why not just type the right spelling?
