What Kind Of A President Would Hillary Clinton Make?

After eight long years of the opposition party sitting in the oval office, its a fair bet to figure that a Democrat will be sitting in the oval office in 2008. So, most likely, it will be either Hillary, Obama, or Edwards. My guess is that Hillary will win. People still like Bill, and he is a great campaigner. When Bill walked out of the oval office, not only was the nation debt free, but there was a tremendous surplus. A surplus, now all wittled away by George Bush. There also was a tremndous amount of jobs created while Bill was at the helm. If Hillary can tie herself to Bill, she will be a shoe in. The only wild card may be that Bill could end up in another Monica situation. But I'm sure that Hillary will be watching him very closely. If Hillary could get through the Monica thing, I don't think there is a potential crises that she couldn't handle. And, it is a dangerous world out there today. So, having someone that can take the heat, will serve the nation well. Besides, I think Bill is looking forward to being "First Man." But, all joking aside, I think Hillary has what it takes to be a great President. And I think Bill will be a big help to her. I also think that under Hillary. you will see the fruitation of a universal health care plan at last. Today, we are the only industrialised country in the world without a universal health care plan. And under Hillary, I think you will also see America join the metric system at last. America and North Korea are the only two nations in the entire globe that are not on the metric system. And its high time that America gets in step with the rest of the world. Being off the metric system would be like counting beads at the mall, instead of using cash registers.

Wow I am impressed, all of this coming from a man. I agree with you a Democrat will be in office next year. My Vote is for Hillary. I think its high time to see what a Woman can do in office. You are also right about the accomplishments of Bill Clinton. Yet I worry there. Most of the Christian voters may not be able to look past his "sin" but they are the very generation that called JFK's administration Camelot. Too soon we forget. I also can see a change in our health care system under Hillary, its appalling what is happening to the poor or working class of this nation. What you lost me on was the metric system. its dither dather there. I can not see what difference it makes. It would be very hard to just implement a system that is not familiar.

I really think that the so called Christian voters have really been taken for a ride. And I think the politicians have just been using them. They should be smart this time and not endorse anyone. I say this because I think they are just too easy to manipulate and a little litnus test for their vote should be in order. The metric system is no big deal, but today the world measures distance in kilometers and we don't. If you went to Europe and read some signs, you would wonder why we have'nt adopted their system.

I am a Christian voter, and I AM not easy to manipulate. It seems to be the direct opposite here. My disdain and contempt for the Clintons has nothing to do with "sin" of adultery, but the fact of lying to under oath and to the Public which they promised to serve. It becomes increasingly harder to choose a candidate I can vote for,but I know for sure Hilary will not be a good choice. Her health care plan is a scary proposition, universal health care is an nightmare everywhere it is in place.

Hillary will do just the many good things her husband did and more-she will not be detracted by the kind of scandals Clinton found himself into-just look at it this way, Clinton was diverted in the gruelling Lewinsky saga, but he still managed to perform, how much more would a focused and sobber Hillary do? Besides, Clinton and Hillery are still bed fellows, trust what these great leaders have the ability to share behind the curtains to help Hillary run the country along the most beneficial policy lines!

Sorry to disagree with you timmack. I really don't like the woman. Nothing personal but all I see her doing lately is trying to use really important issues to make political points. I prefer to find a candidate that is going to stand by their beliefs even if it isn't the 'popular' thing. She just seems too wishy washy to me. I can't relate to her at all as a person. I also don't think she has much of a sense of humor, unlike Bill. I know her pet project is a universal health system, but I don't know if our country is able or willing to make that kind of sacrifice yet. She and Bill tried before and failed. Maybe I'm wrong. Also I'm just as sick of the Clintons as I am of the Bush's. Time for a whole new fresh approach! Senator Obama strikes me as a great alternative!
