Hello meera88, for paid version, you can try Kaspersky and Symantec antivirus. Both these two do its jobs pretty well. For free version, you can try AVG, AVAST, and AVIRA. Currently, I am using Avira AntiVir Personal Classic Edition. I have been using this software for almost two years. Since using this one, I have never encountered any problems at all with regards to the overall function of my machine. Otherwise, I am so impressed with its performance. It updates regularly and can be scheduled at your most convenient time. It is very light on resources and does not use a lot of memory. It does not slow down your computer.
Hope this would help to you in any way.
Have a great day!

well i think norton is a very stupid antivirus as in it uses a lot of ram and also slows down the computer. we buy computer to use it and not to just install an antivirus and so i think the purpoise is not solved. i use bit defender and i have seen the rating and i tell you it is dam good as in the prog. is stable, reousce friendly and also has a stable and strong firewall. and then you have a nice update systrem adn you get a lot of control over your computer. it also has a small grah which tell you your internet and computer activity

yea sure....am currently using avast...i think it is really good...if we use avast and spybout then there will be no viral or spyware threats...
it is much fast comparing to norton...norton will make your computer damn slow. so i think it is better u use avast and spybout.

I use AVG 7.x and I'm pretty happy with it. I can't even barely recall the last time I had virus problems in this PC. =) It's great.

i would suggest AVG antivirus. eats way less resources than others, has autoupdate, gets the job done.

i generally uses Norton Anitvirus on my systems and rate it 8.5 from 10 where 10 stands for the best.
as using it ididn't find much problem in my system and was always able to protect my system.
other antivirus softwares i don't like as they don't protect your system and the system gets infected more quickly.
4 months ago when there was avg antivirus on our systems in the office recommended by our seniors, the systems got infected with almost 10 viruses which it was not able to detect them, then we just shifted on Norton and solved the systems, as we our asked to format our systems before that.
