Why men are pretending that they are not emotional or affected?

well for them crying is a kind of weakness and that they don't want to show. But for me its rather the other way around. Guys should let their feelings out otherwise they are more prone to heart attack that women.

guys are tend to reflect their macho images that 's why it is not easy for them to show emotions. They are not somewhat pretending by the way, they can just hold on to feelings, I have seen many men cries and i think they are much tougher when they are showing that they are really hurt.

Im not a man and i can't speak for one.I do know a guy that i was dating had cried right before my eyes and he is nowhere near gay.SO i dont know why some are pretenders.We are human and have emootions.Take care.

Sorry its really not like that if a man crys they are gay... actually its just not like us show out our emotions like that. Actually since the begining of times men are considered to be the hard and unemotional species and yes in history they had to be hard cause the amount of times they had to hunt and fight for food, kingdoms and other things. i am not a man but i guess i understand why they are like that coz even women are also ashamed to let other people see they are crying. I don't understand too why we kept on laughing loud but we can't cry loud? Emotions are need to be express but there are also that is shameful to show to others.

such mistery.... they know it and they use it on their advantage....like i was about to break up with my boyfriend and he made a sad face and said..not cried...said "i'm about to cry here girl,please.....can you beleive that, he want going to cry but he knew it will get my attention.....mmmm

that is great encouragement for a man, but they tend to think about their reputations, and they do not want to be considered weak. Culture is something that is very strong and very hard to beat. Think of how many times you do things just because it is expected of you, it is the same thing for men.

I am sorry friend, it is not that men are pretending but men dont show out their emotions. Men are always meant as strong and i dont think that strong things break up so easily. I dont say that men dont have emotions but they dont express it rather they stay alone and feel for it :)

no, it's not that. because in times when every body is being affected by a certain circumstance, emotionally. we must remain strong in order to share to every body the strengths that we have (even if, there are none, even if, we are also affected, we must remain strong in order for others not to be in so much vain) that their is still hope, and the likes. so that also they can get strength from us, that is why. we don't cry. because men are suppose to be strong, but in the reality is the most weak one than of women. ( I say this because, you don't know, when no one see's, we also cried)
