I have heard that there are many bibles written by Popes etc, like New testament , old testament, other version etc. (lol) We if people keep writing all the holy books how can it be the gods words. Old testament said pork is illegal, new testament says pork is clean ?? i can understand the situation in which the christians live?? Do they make thier own laws? NOTE : heres there is no point that i am hating christianity, i am just clearing my doubts ??

Where in the NT does it say that pork is clean? I have yet to find that scripture. As to your question, I don't know how many bibles there are, but I do know the OT bible is best read in Hebrew...since that's the original language. The NT was written in Greek and many words were mistranslated, thus causing much confusion. A great example of this is...pork.

All I know is the holy bible is the work of many writers, Luke, Paul, Peter etc. They are inspired by God to write the gospels. It is not written by Popes. And as you have mentioned pork are considered unclean in old testament but not in the new testament. If it is a work of one of group people with common interests why would there be different view points on pork in the old and new testament. Why there is such difference? It is perhaps a matter of different time or different situation. Just like there is bird flu rampaging around, people are not supposed to touch the pigeons on a square. But normally, the birds are welcome by tourists.

here my point is when you state that BIBLe is the gods word then why does god issue versions of his books.Isn't this awkward to think!! I am not saying my self as superior but the holy quran is same till now from the day it was implemented, and you can see the holy quran in every muslims house is exactly same with same verses same numbers same chapters not a single spelling difference or so. But there many versions of bible, so how can believe which is the gods word.

There is only one bible but several translations. The meaning of words keep changing so the translations are trying to keep up with our language changes. In the king James version Adam and Eve were told to repopulat the earth. When this version was translated repopulate ment just to populate the earth. Today it means to re do or populate again Jesus din't eat pork noe did his deciples. In Acts 10:9 peter had a dream about a vessel coming down with many animals in it and he was told to eat, but until this time the gospel was only taught to the Jews. This was a sign for Peter to start teach to the gentiles. If you read the whole chapter you will see this.

There is only one Word of God. But they were written in Hebrew for the Old Testament and Greek and also allegedly Aramaic for the New Testament and they were written very long time ago. The Old Testament was translated into Greek by 70 Israelite elders in about 270 B.C. called Septuagint. For the New Testament, we have THE GREEK NEW TESTAMENT and the NEW TESTAMENT GREEK compiled by researchers, archaeologists, etc. In addition, Bible Societies also have their own researchers, etc. and make their own and publish them throughout the world and those are the versions of the Holy Bible. Arsenia Joaquin translated THE GREEK NEW TESTAMENT and some books of the Septuagint plainly from Greek to English and the books are found at http://www.lulu.com/arseniajoaquin The Old Testament is a shadow of what will be coming and that is in the New Testament. It is the worship in the Old Testament which the New Testament nullified. In the Old Testament, only the Israelites are the people of God. In the New Testament, those who obey God become children of God, Israelites or Gentiles. We have to study and understand the Holy Bible to know the will of God.

Just only one Bible, if you are very particular read Kings James Version published by Bible Society.God is dealing in Bible in different ages in different manner. So pork may be with held in Old Testament but not in New Testament.Bible you have to learn(as any book) thouroughly before you start to ask questions. This will minimize questions.ask me if you have any doubt.
