Jack playing football with the OTHERS?

yeah, that was pretty weird. I loved the misdirection of that scene, where you see Jack running, looking really intense, only to have him turn to catch a football...I think that was a great twist. I agree, perhaps he is trying to gain their trust. The Others obviously have some interest in Jack....more than they did with kate and sawyer. I wonder if Jack is one of those people in "the list" that the Russian guy refered to. Perhaps that's also a tie into his tattoo, that said something like "He walks among them , but is not one of them." right? But I wonder who "them" is. Is it the crash survivors? Or is it The others? Either way, it seems Jack....and perhpas his Dad are pretty central in the whole mystery of what's going on.

In reality Jack still believes his friends don't know where he is and I believe that he has accepted this to be his fate. If you remember the other episodes prior to this, you would notice that Jack has taking a small liking to many of the others including Julie. Now that he thinks he will probably never leave, he is probably trying to live out his life and maybe one day hope to get home. We'll find out soon anyhow that I know. I also like the twists of John Locke finally coming up, I always thought their was something with him like maybe he had his own agenda. Now we are finding this to be true. And shots from the next episode describe that as well. Till the next episode :-P

I thought that John Locke was on 'the list'... When they had Ben captive didn't he say something to Locke about how he had come for him? There is so much to keep up with on this show... I don't really know what's up with Jack playing football... maybe he knows there is no way to escape so he's just going with the flow. Better than being locked up in a cage. Kate looked so betrayed.... who is she really in love with anyway??? She said she loved Sawyer but then took off to risk her neck for Jack. I like Kate, but always being the risk taker is sure to catch up with her at some point.

At this point, I think Jack is just trying to "play nice" with the Others. He is probably trying to get in good with them while at the same time trying to learn everything he can about them. I think he is waiting for his chance to escape and return to his island. I think he is attracted to Juliet (she does bear a strong resemblance to his first wife) but at this point I think he is wary of her.

I think the others are just relaxing around Jack. Jack's not stressed because he's not going anywhere - he's made a deal with the devil to get off the island and he thinks he and Blond Other Chick can actually get Ben to keep his word. So, everybody's getting all cozy because there's no reason for anyone to run. It could also be a bit of Stockholm Syndrome. I'm more interested in Locke. I think he used to be one of the Others. Can't wait to find out his story.

I don't think Jack's already brainwashed by the others.. but he seems not so hard on them anymore hehe.. specially at the last scene on Claires episode when he's playing football with the Others.. i think he just letting them think that he's already fine with them but in the end he's still planning for his BIG ESCAPE ...
