Do Girls HAVE TO be able to cook?

Okay, so i had this debate with a friend who is a boy. He insisted that girls have to be able to cook. He said that girls nowadays are disappointing coz most of em cant cook. I myself cant cook -well, i only know how to make scramble egg... hehhe-. I felt a bit offended by his statement. I replied, well... not all men can repair broken things...
Do you think that just becoz someone is a girl, then she must be able to cook?

When I left home I couldn't cook to save my soul, my mother didn't let me use the stove so I learnt by myself. In later years I told my daughter she wasn't allowed to move out till she knew how to cook. I don't know if she took me serious or not but she sure can cook up a meal. Yes I think we should all know how to cook and that goes for the boys too. You never know when you'll have to do it.

Woh.. really? I moved out of house and until now, i still cant cook... i want to but you know wat? I have trouble with fire... im afraid even to stand near a stove. I usually cook my most simple meal using electric stove. HoHo...

He is very sexist. A girl does not have to know how to cook. Nobody should have to fit any idea of what a person should be able to do. A girl has so much more to offer the world than cooking or cleaning and its so sad to see that there are still some ignorant men out there who are stuck in their sexist ways
