Could you narrow your question down a bit? Anyways Vegas is fun but it is best to plan ahead and go during off times of years. Often late summer (when it is very hot) you can get very good room deals at casino's that are on the strip. The cheapest places to stay are usually downtown, or off the strip. But you can stay on the strip at the lower end casino's for 40-60 a night, so it's not that bad if you time it right. Cheaper strip hotel/casino's would be The Imperial Palace, The Stratosphere, and The Riviera. As a first time visitor to Vegas, you will want to check out the strip no question. Most of the best casino's and bars and nightclubs are there. The Venetian is a must see. Rio's has the Voodoo Lounge which is a decent night club, and it's really the only one that's coming to mind at the moment.
