NIAGRA FALLS!
This is a huge tourist attraction in Ontario Canada that I visited as a child. I remember watching TV way back in the 60's seeing men go over these enormous falls in barrels some dying. I've attached a link for Tourist Info and one that gives the history of all the people in history that have attempted to ride the falls. I felt that some foriengers here would love to see a bit of the strange things we do for a thrill or a spot on national TV. Enjoy the sites.

I went to the Niagara Falls many years ago. I still have the photos. I remember going in a boat that sails close to the spray & we have to wear rain jackets. It was quite stunning!
I didn't realise that I was so close to 500, must check. It wont happen tonight, as I am going to bed shortly. Need to have a very early night as it is the BIG DAY tomorrow.
The Soth Australian State Final Junior Sprints. We have to get up at 5.30 - 5.45am.

yeah I loved the boats also. But as a kid I hated them silly raincoats you have to wear. Check out the list and history of the daredevils. It's interesting. I never knew there were so many till I looked at that site. Thanks for the response.

Thank you for the site on Niagra falls. My mother and her family traveled most of the US and one of the places the went to see was Niagra Falls. She always wanted to take us, but we never had the money to do so. Maybe I will be able to do so for my son. Thanks again.

Niagra Falls is on my list of places I would like to visit. I have heard so many wonderful things about how spectacular they are and I love waterfalls. Have thought a few times if I came into a lot of money where I could afford to take a vacation I would like to make a list of waterfalls and see how many I could visit.

I have never been there, but my sister lives just hours away from it, she has promised me that when I visit her she is going to take me there and toss me over the falls in a barrel...lol..there is a picture you can get taken, gotta put this goofy fear-filled look on your face, and then they copy and paste it into a picture of a barrel going over...she has one with her whole family. A silly picture that I would love to have...lol

I love the falls. I actually love BOTH sides, the US and the Canadian. The US side is more authentic and natural. The Canadian side is more built up and commercial, but with that comes a lot more things to do. I also think the Canadian side is a lot prettier, at least the view of the falls themselves.
We often don't realize how luck we are to live so close to this wonder of the world, do we? It is beautiful and breath taking indeed. And nothing is more beautiful then the Falls in the full brunt of winter. The history behind the Falls is amazing, I agree. Thanks for the sites!

Niagara Falls is one of my favorite places to go- It is absolutely amazing! I cannot tell you which season I love it best. Winter is great-- you see alot of icicles.. summer is great too-- feeling the mist from the falls and the fireworks and laser light shows. I love to go in the Fall and walk around! I'm taking my daughter this year-- we are going to do the Maid on the Mist, and the Journey Under the Falls-- I especially love the Cancadian side-- More touristy than the American side.
If anyone is looking for a great vacation spot! I say check out Niagara Falls!

I have always wanted to be able to visit Niagara Falls someday. I have never been to Canada before yet I have known and seen pictures from my friends who have been there already. It's so amazing and I wanna witness it myself most especially that I am a nature lover. :)

My mother went to Niagara on the New York side and she absolutely loved it. I watched a show on the History Channel once about all of the things that were done going over the falls. These dare devils sure had more guts than I could muster up! Thanks for sharing that.

I don't live all that far away from Niagara Falls and I've been there atleast 5 times throughout my childhood, my parents took us there a lot as kids. It's also considered one of the top places for honeymooners to go, this is where my parents took their honeymoon. I once had a very intense dream that I was unwillingly going over the falls (no barrel or any means of protection), I survived but what a scary dream!

i agree that niagra is a greatest tourist attraction. i am from india, especially from kerala. there are lot of water falls in kerala. the 98% of the electricity is derived from hydal power. and there are lot of tourist places. kerala is the god's own country and unreveled paradice. if we want to get in to there, there is no way only walk to the beaty of the nature and see the perfect work of GOD. kerala is really a god's own country

Since I live only a couple of hours away from Niagara Falls I have been a couple of times. We took the kids a couple of years ago, got a hotel room for a night or two. We took the Maid of the Mist Ride and stayed up late to see the Falls lit up with lights. It's beautiful. If I had money I would make a weekend trip down there every year. We never did get to walk behind the falls. The line-ups were just too long.

I live right near Niagara Falls.. Once you've seen it once, it's not that exciting to see it again. hah. Although the Maid of the Mist is awesome I heard (never actually been on it..lol) But the Hill is so much fun. But aas for the experience itself... it's not AS exciting as everyone seems to think.. :|

I have never visited NIAGARA all my life. Well the reason is because i don't have enough money to go there. Well i live in Indonesia and it takes a lot of money to travel to US.:)
But I saw about NIAGARA FALLS in TV. I think that NIAGARA is one of the most recommended sight seing. I really want to go there someday.:)

I've visited Niagara Falls like once a week before when I actually lived in Ontario, Canada. But since moving to the US, I've only been there once. It's a great sight to see! I've been on the boat (that goes very near the Falls) with those yellow "raincoats" on. It's quite a sight to see! I would give anything to go there again.
