Alive - This movie is all about self determination, to make an impossible look possible. This movie explains about a group of soccer players being stranded in a cold mountain for almost 72 days. Being forced into a circumstances where you are being tested. constantly in order to survive for 72 days without food, proper medications. They live on loads of cigaarates, piece of chocolate and a bottle of wine. The man in the movie that impresses me is Nando played by Ethan Hawke. In the movie,it is because of his will power and his yes i will do it attitude that helps the few survivors make it to their home. A must watch movie. I give it a 5 star

I have watched "Alive" many times and have 2 copies of the book so I can lend one out and always have one on hand.I would say it is a safe estimate that I have read the book 20 times or so.There is another book about this story by one of the players and it is called "Survival" that looks at what happened from a different point of view.I noticed though you did not mention the cannibalism they had to do to survive(although a few could not bring themeselves to do it and perished". The story is alot like The Donner Party and going to California in the 1900's.Another good book to look at.I give both a high 5!
