why do people smoke even after knowing that it has ill effects????

smoking causes lung cancer ....empysema,,,n various other respiratory disorders....n it also affects the person near by...
every one who smokes knows this...but y do they still smoke??

that's a nice question,people try cigg as it is a bad habbit,and u get a nice feeling .bad habbits get attracted to the people very fast.
in that situation they don't see the health....
infact smoking for some 4-6 years does not have much affect in body..

i have the same puzzle as you do. among those smoking people, men take up a large quantity. i think it's because men have much more pressure. they have to be the bread-winner of the family. so when they have difficulties or worries, they resort to smoking.
