i'm an english language teacher in my school.my problem is i've no confident to communicate in English and i'm weak in my grammar.. how can i help my students to learn while i'm as a teacher doesn't have any confident at all..i'm joining this mylot to improve my english and beside that i wanna make friend with ya all...
will you out there help me?

The first thing is to identify your weakness. You should understand that this language is a rather strange language ... strange in that it has certain rules, but then sometimes, the rules are ignored!
Anyway, a young student takes years to master this language from basic. An adult who has no confidence may have problems too.
You can start by reading any short sentences, phrases or just words everyday. Try to know the correct pronunciation. Speak the language as often as you can. Read aloud as if you are talking to some, when you are alone. Write some sentences or try to construct some. Remember all your tenses!

for some reason, there are difficulties to build a confidence.. i have to be brave enough and throw away my shyness feeling to speak in English whis is the universal language where this language is learnt and spoke in the whole nation in the world whereas it become a worldwide language.

If a teacher knows that he/she is just an inch ahead of his/her students it's hard to face them with confidence. There are circumstances why this happens like when a teacher is asked to teach a subject not his/her forte or specialization or major (whatever)he/she is left with no choice than take it out of obedience to a superior. Well to arm yourself with advanced reading or preparation of the topic for the day will at least give you a little confidence. Confidence is necessary to maintain your composure.

My mom always said practice makes a man perfect.You have to keep practiceing.I too had face this type of situation.I was a computer teacher and one day when a teacher of our school quit from her job. School authority give me her subject as there is a shortage of teacher.I really don't have any idea how to deal with this situation. But then I started with smaller grade book of that subject and keep updated with that subject in my spare time. Soon I realized I can teach that subject with proficiency. Best of luck for you.

ok..that sounds good.. one reason i joining this mylot website is to improve my english as well.. when i'm typing those words.. and i start talking by myself .. from this i've learnt something..
