Avalon's song IN CHRIST ALONE has the most wonderful words. Has any body taken the time to put the lyrics in front of them and read them? They are so true of Christ. I cry each time I hear this song. Avalon puts such feel into this. Everything in their being believes and that is how I feel when I hear it.

I love this song. I had really severe depression for ages & this song really carried me through. For some of the time I had my depression, my best friend was doing two years voluntary work in Hong Kong & it was great knowing that we had this in common.
Now I'm "better", I love singing it even more. I'm almost addicted to the song, well the words & the truth of the song. It's kind of a celebratory song for me.

I get very emotional when they play this song on the radio. I am so happy this gives you solace. I have gotten so I just look at the words and sing and find it easy to let the words flow. I am glad you are feeling better. Depression is so debilitating. I have found that listening to Christian music fill me and makes me happy. It is up lifing and keeps me there. I have gotten so I only want to listen to Christian music.

Fully and committedly and in total agreement with you. It is not only a beautifully written song but to set this lyric into this awesome musical mood, truly helps one who is using this song to draw near to God. A fantastic song to make one reflects the degree of his commitment, desire, purpose and focus in Christ.
Amen! and Amen! to it to say "In Christ alone I place my trust" (a willing choice not something compelled by circumstances) "And find my glory in the power of the Cross" (the only glory we ever need is the glory Christ bestows on us, the way to find this glory is truly found in our understanding of the meaning of the Cross. I the Cross, that is where we truly find power and victory over every adversary of life) "In every victory, let it be said of me, my source of strength, my source of hope is Christ Alone." (Yes and Yes, It Christ alone, we can do all things.
I love to worship God with this song, for each time it allows me to be able to recommit myself to Christ and it raises my faith to know that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me).
May more Christians find this song refreshing each time they use it to worship the Lord. Amen.

Thanks Rodchua, The way you wrote this made me tear up. with Easter Near, it is especially meaning ful because this is renewal and this song says it all. At church we are working a program called Hurts, Habbits, and Hang ups. So much we hold onto, not forgiving others or ourselves. There is only "one source of strength and the power is in the Cross". It is all done for us if we just turn to Jesus in our hearts and know he forgives us and loves us no matter what we have done. As long as we turn to him all is forgiven!
