Which self defence skill do you master in?

I have been to several self defence courses and never did excel in any one of them. Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Wrestling, Boxing, etc, etc. Not to mention Kung Fu. Do you excel in any self defence art? What are they? Are you a professional or a trainer for that sport?

Haaha I don't exactly excel but I am training in qi gong and traditional Yang Family Tai Ji..I am very lucky cos when I amin U.K I have a lovely SHI FU..He is the 6th generation direct bai shi from the Yang Family..from Yang Lu Chan going through Yang Chien Fu's line because Yang Pan Hou didn't officially take disciples. He is a great Teacher and has extraordinary patience. I don't practice enough here. This is one reason I need to make enough money because my Shi Fu said he wanted to train me as a teacher. To do this I need to put inn a good 4-6 hours practice a day and struggling to sort my family life out does not give me that. Pray for me..because I also love tai ji too much and had dreams of some very intetresting tai ji Mastersbut I don't know whothey are..I know that when the right time comesit will happen. Like how I found my teacher..I had dream of himten years before meeting him..soI have to be patient. God willing. Which type of gong fu did you do? I know in Malaysia they do good Silat too. I know quite a few good Silat Exponents in London. I remember I had one round my house and He gave me a lesson in some Iron Shirt..it made me nackered by the end of my unofficil lesson lol!

Wow, what an art. I am sure you enjoy it. I guess I did not have time to enjoy any self defence sport now as I am more interested in internet businnesses. Still, the thought came across my mind.

I've tried aikido before and I really loved it. But the problem is it took way too long to become good at. As a result, I did not do it for a long time. I instead took up dancing. Funny, huh? I think, though, if i had the time and the money (because it costs about 100 bux a month), i'd probably do aikido again. it seems to be the least aggressive, and most self-defensive of the arts. Also, it doesn't have a lot of kicking, which I like. I don't liek using my feet very much, and would much rather use my hands. What do you like or have done in the past?

I used to enroll in a karate lesson when I was in high School. But that wasn't materialized because my fingers was broken during my rigid training at home. That was the reason my parents scolded me and they force me to stop my karate lessons. My fingers were back to full strength now but I don't indulge anymore to karate lessons. But I still enjoy watching karate games either in television or every local and national tournaments.
