Need gift ideas... Mom's 50th birthday.

What is an appropriate gift to give for such a big birthday? I have two brothers and we are all at a loss for this one...

...women love to be pampered..i would send her for a day or a weekend at a spa...where they will pamper her and she will come back feeling regenerated and 10 yrs younger...women love this kind of thing and often will not spend the money on themselves because they don't feel they "deserve" it...i sent my mom last year for the full treatment...she said it was one of the nicest gifts she ever recieved...maybe consider sending a friend/relative with her or have champagne /flowers there for her...i am sure you couldn't go wrong with this idea...

That's a great idea, actually... maybe my brother's and I could go in on this gift.. she lives about 2 hours from the city, so I would almost feel bad about asking her to drive 4 hours round-trip for her spa day... unless of course I could convince my stepdad to take her to a hotel in the city later that night so she could have her pampering and then go to dinner with all her kids and husband.. and then have a romantic evening... maybe that would work.. I'll have to ask the family. thanks for the great suggestion!
