balanced diet

i'm just needed a balanced diet but i don't know how? eat less food.. did'nt eat at all?

No single food contains all the nutrients we need to help the body work properly. So we have to eat a variety of foods to get the right amount. There are several main types of food which if eaten in certain proportions will provide a 'balanced diet'. wish you a healthy body.

thanks.. but how do we know the food we eat contains the right amount?

For this you have to buy a book from the bookshop. The book on dieting explains everything specifically and a detailed chart about vitamin content and the callorie value is needed to moniter the diet in proper fashion. The Book should not cost much I think.

Well, are you trying to lose weight? maintain your weight? I agree with the last poster but you should also look into the number of calories you should be eating, lets say if you want to MAINTAIN your weight. Here is a site that tells you the recommendation of how many servings of what you should eat -- www.mypyramid.gov -- and offers a specific plan for each individual. Check it out and see if it helps =].

A big reason why so many people are overweight is because they have an unbalanced diet. They eat too much from one food group and not enough from another. If you are eating a lot of junk food and no fruits and vegetables then you are no getting the vitamins and nutrients that your body needs. To have a balanced diet, you need to make sure it is composed of protein, dairy food, a little bit of fat from healthy oil, fruit and vegetables, and good carbohydrates. It is suggested that your diet consist of mostly carbohydrate, moderate protein intake, and a little bit of fat.
