Modern Day Advertising is mass acceptance of Insanity!

Have you ever watched an advertisement lately that left you feeling uneasy? I have; and I can't help but think, "Isn't this counter-productive?" The Burger King guy for instance, he is just frightening! He is a scary dude no matter what angle you look at him from! WHY is he on my television trying to sell me burgers? Dancing cats, talking dogs, babies with giant eyes, eyes with tongues! Men with disturbingly large mouths and gross CGI nose's. I don't see how all this twisting of reality is supposed to sell me a product, or even entertain me for that 30 second slot. I just want to cover my eyes and hope the assult on my visual sense is over by the time I peek though my fingers. The Quaker Oats guy is now a bigger than life horror. Why? He was fine as he was..just smiling benignly from his box. I liked him there; non-threatening, absent of serial killer menace...just the Quaker Oats guy! I fear good ole Q.O.guy and his buddy B.K. dude deciding to go on a killing spree. It's going to happen, I feel it on the wind. Strapped into kevlar; packing M-8's and pulling a little red wagon full of extra clips and juice boxes..
