To answer this question is like to answer which eye i would like to spare.
Seriously Football and cricket are like two eyes to me i am very much helpless without anyone of them also, its a very tough choice for me and my kind(Sport bluffs).
Football is kind of water to me and cricket Oxygen, so can you see why i said i cant live without both.

i would prefer to watch cricket....two reasons behind this, first is that i have more interest in cricket as i know more about this game...and second is a bit selfish reason, as i can see my country palying in cricket world cup only and not in the football world cup... :)

i think though overall football is a far more popular sport, most of the indians, including me,will prefer cricket..i think this depends upon how well ur national teams r performing at the international stage..where indian ckt team is among the top 5-7 teams in the world, the football team struggles at 125th at the world ranking......

Obviously in places like India, where i stay, Cricket is a religion. And cricketers are treated as Gods. And football takes a backseat in this part of the world although i agree that football is more action packed especially when played between 2 equally matched aggressive teams.
