Lost never has any closure.

Every week I look forward to Lost in hopes that something will be answered. I am convinced that the writers of the show have no idea what they are doing. They sit around and just figure out a new plot that is more entertaining than the one from last week and assume the audience will forget about the plot from last week.
With all the unanswered events I am almost to the point where I will just stop watching it and have a friend tell me in 5 years when the season ends that they were all tripping on LSD and it was a dream.
What were the holes opening up in the first season...polar bear? black smoky thing killing people, the others? What in the world is going on? Where are half the characters from last season...
There is no closure ever in any episode. Only more mysteries unwrapped. I missed two weeks of episodes, watched it last Wednesday and the episode basically left off where I had stopped watching. Still nothing. I think we are all going for a ride and are at the whim of the writers who have no clue where the story is going.
Unfortunately I have already been hooked and must watch this show almost every week in hopes that there is closure.

I love Lost but I'm just like you, not really knowing just exactly what in the world is going on. It always ends with the beginning of a new twist and never answers any of the other questions.
It's addicting because you think well if I miss a week how much more confusing is it going to be. What if I miss one of the missing links, clues or whatever you want to call it.
The black thing, clueless!
I have a feeling Jack's father is the one behind all of this because somehow everyone is turning out to be connected to Jack or someone's connected to someone who's connected to him.
Confusing, yes. But I love it anyway! Gets your mind working, I guess.

Then there are always the 6 minute cheesy slow mo scenes where two people sit on the beach talking or eating and the sun sets and they have hope. Like it is supposed to make me feel good, when all I really want to know is where did they take Jack and who drives that bigger boat that was pictured.
I think we are part of a conspiracy of a couple of execs who had a bet on how many people they can get to watch a show with no real content.

Oh yes, the cheesy scenes! Uggh!
Did you not see this Wednesday's episode? It shows Jack and it's quite interesting! Let me know if you seen it or want to know what happened if you didn't!

The directors and authors have admitted to this many times. They've even had a contest asking for viewers ideas.

LOL, the only problem is that they decided to use every single idea that was sent in...and took out how to resolve the problem or how the problem even occured in the first place.

I have to agree. I'm about at the point where I just may give up on it. Back stories are beginning to look as if they're put in to give the writers time to figure out what's going to happen next. Characters appear and disappear and you wonder why they were introduced in the first place. I thought that they might get it together during the long break, but the second "season" is getting worse and worse.

Lost is like a good novel, you have to watch it all the way to the end to have all the mysteries explained. I think that the writers have been good about dropping little hints here and there about some stuff; likewise some things are completely under wraps. I don't think they will leave us disapointed in the end, you just have to have faith and stick with it!

Amen to that, at the rate they are going they will have everything under control in the next century. It is hard to imagine Carlton Cuse letting it go on this way. I don't mind having a few dilemas go unsolved for a bit, but they are pushing the envelope on this one and I have pretty much given up hope on intelligent answers to all that has happened. Not to mention the fact that I don't see how the entire scenario can be resolved without loose threads enough to make uniforms for the entire US Army.

Yea my favorite line to say while watching LOST is, "I'm lost!" This show is so confusing. Well... I skipped a lot of second season, so I have no idea who all the others are or what the heck happened with the hatch... so that doesn't help with the whole confusion =P.
I was entertained with this last week's episode when they brought in a lot of first season stuff though. Makes you reminisce and remember the parts of the show that were good... dramatic but good because you had a better sense of what the heck was going on.
Ya know at the end of episodes when they give you a sneak preview of what's to come? I remember once seeing Jin speaking perfect English saying "Everything's going to change." That got me hooked to the show a li'l longer... cuz of curiosity.
I think I've just about given up on this show though since then =P. I'll only watch bits if my roomie's got it on.
