My husband complains I am spending too much time on the computer!

I know I spend at least 2-3 hours a day, much of it on myLot, but I was trying to do it while he was asleep! He does admit I am taking good care of him and not neglecting anything he needs. I guess I need to spend more time just paying attention to him. But...I want to be here!!!

i think my hubby has the same problem with me. the problem is that he has websites and he feels i should be entering content instead of just surfing. the internet is such a time stealr...i know it. i think of something i want to learn about and then find it and research. internet is probably not the best thing for someone who loves to learn a little bit of everything.

I'm not sure about your last sentence. Internet is the best thing for someone who loves to learn a little bit of everything because you can find a little bit of everything on it. On the other hand, you can sure spend a lot of time on line doing that learning. Is that what you mean?

I would like for him to get interested in the computer. He is not able to do anything right now, but watch tv and he says he gets bored. Unfortunately, he doesn't type, therefore doesn't like the computer. I've put him on youtube a couple of times and he has gotten a kick out of that, but he won't do it on his own. Besides, if he got as hooked as I am we'd have to buy another computer!

I don't have this problem with my wife. Except when she tries calling as I have dial up. LOL. Try mixing your total time here. A half hour here a half hour there etc. Spread the 3 hours out in maybe 4 visits then. That may be of help for you and hubby.

Oh, goodness. You have dial up and spend so much time here! I'll bet no one can ever get a hold of you. It's a great way to pass snowy days, though, isn't it?

Sounds like your husband needs a "hobbie, things I enjoy" to fill his time. Be open and talk to him. Use him as a referal he, he. Taking care of yourself is a good hobbie.

2-3 hours from 24 hrs is not much. you should login when he not around. or do one thing, buy him a new laptop and make him a referrel. he will stop complaining...... :)
