Should Gandhiji have been awarded Nobl Prize?

Hey Guys what do you think should gandhiji have been awarded Noble Prize? Though it is seem to be true that,some people get prestige because they get an award,But some people are there if they are awared with award that award get prestige.and gandhiji comes in later category.But still ifeel that he should have been awarded with Noble prize.
What is your opinion?

Well i feel nothing can equalise his principles and sacrificies and simple nobel prize will not value himself. He is great human being who has a award of great humanism in himself.
