I agree! The only time I don't respond is when I am completely stumped or (only sometimes) when someone else has already expressed what I want to say. I don't know exactly how mylot grades each response, but I think it's best to "say" something if you have something to say. At the very least, you'll build up that number next to your name faster than ever! And that's a good thing!
