I just can't understand why here in our country(Philippines) politics is combined to celebrities. It used to be that political ads are advertised or endorsed together with the known celebrities of the country, definitely in order to gain more votes for the political candidate. But now, even the celebrities go into politics.. What's happpening, I mean correct me if I'm wrong, but I wonder will they be good leaders of the country? They haven't been to even any lower positions before and now they'll run for like a senatorial position? I just don't think this is right.. What do you think?

politics and celebrities definitely don't mix, but in our country, image is everything. the masses are easy manipulated by the media. since these celebrities have already made a name for themselves, they think it would be an easy campaign. if you ask me, it's another way celebrities want to make more money.

They are banking on their popularity to gain more votes for themselves, but wise voters should realize that there's more to lawmaking than just a handsome or pretty face and a talent for acting. Unless of course they are planning to turn the Senate and the Congress into a Philippine of Universal Studios.
