Does Childbirth Hurt?

Pregnancy and childbirth! One word -OUCH! If you are pregnant and expecting your first child, don't believe anyone that says it won't hurt - it will. But there is an upside. There is a point in labour when the pain is actually enjoyable. Hard to believe maybe but I do speak from experienced.

yes, it is soooo painful, but worth every minute of it! :) my son is my world. i never knew i could have this kind of love for anyone. its a love that i cant even put into words. now i understand how much my mom loves me. as painful as it was, i knew i was willing to do it again, and i did. its almost a year and a half later, and am about to have my second miracle! as much as i fear the pain, i am also anticipating it. weird huh? its the only pain i would ever look forward to, knowing that we are going to get a precious gift in the end.

Well, for me it was absolutely the most painful thing I have ever experienced. But with that being said, I have talked to people whose labors were not nearly as bad as mine was, and some who had no pain at all. Some who have had more than one labor have had completely different experiences with each one. So I don't know if I would automatically tell someone that their labor will definitely be painful. I would like to say that despite the tortuous pain, it is worth it in the end. In fact I'm willing to do it all over again. :)

As far as i can remember, childbirth hurts a lot. When I was in labor with my first, my mother and mother in law kept telling me that I would "forget" the pain. They were just trying to help me through it, but they were wrong! It was hard and very painful, but worth it. I did it again 2 more times. You don't forget the pain, it is terrible, but you do get an excellent prize for your efforts.
