Pet peeve - weather men/women

Believe me, I'd be lost without the weather men and women who report the weather daily. However, why do they have to explain so much? They lose me after the first few minutes. I just want to know how much snow we're going to get, and when it's going to start. Or, I want to know how warm it's going to be over the next few days. Show me a picture of the forcast, and toss in a few words....am I alone here?
