Smaller Jobs Save Thousands On Renovations

By breaking large projects down into smaller jobs the costs of renovations can be reduced by thousands. Over the years we have renovated many houses and have always found that it is difficult to get tradesman to do large jobs. To get jobs done more quickly and cheaply ask less of the tradesman. For example, instead of getting a painter to quote for a whole house interior, get him to quote for just two rooms, such as lounge and dining. However, by breaking the job into smaller projects we were able to get the three bedrooms done for $750 first, then the lounge, dining and hall a week later for another $750. A saving of $2,500! We were amazed and have used this method ever since!

Don't know if tradesmen here in Scotland would work it the same way as they prefer to take on bigger jobs and give a slight reduction (supposedly) for more jobs being done at once but I will certainly put it to the test!
