im a choreographer and i always tell my dancers most of them who are children to think that there is nobody out there to block out the audience and pretend they are performing at home or in one of their rehearsals.

my friend really did have stage fear, but my english lecturer called her on an cultural occasion and gave her some papers and asked her to get on to stage and read it, it was almost 1 and 1/2 hour matter, everyone lost interest and were gossiping but she still went on with her matter. once she got down she said me that she didnt care whether anyone was listening or no but i did understand how to speak and what to speak in order to gain ones attention. since then on she took the incharge of whole cultural celebrations in our college and she was the one to arrange things and announce the programs.
I dont understand how she cud get to learn so much even now just with that 1 and 1/2 hr matter reading. well i wasnt scared of stage so much, so dont really have much idea to tell one how to overcome. may be just feel confidence and rather think everyone is same coz' one imagines other to have more knowledge or confidence than yourself makes you feel suppressing ur own skills rather you might be more strong and confident enough than the other person.
