Since moving from UPN to the CW, there has been a marked difference in Veronica Mars, ranging from structure, to mystery type, to little differences such as a lesbian kiss being nixed.
Was Veronica better on UPN?

I think that Veronica Mars was a little better when it was on UPN because they had a lot more characters on it that were full characters instead of a lot of recurring characters like there is now. I think that they should make more of recurring characters be main characters because lately the only people on every episode are Veronic, Keith, and Logan.

I thought the CW was just UPN and The WB combined, so now you get shows from the WB and UPN.
I didn't notice a difference in the show when the network changed.
It's still on the same channel and everything.
Is the season over right now? It hasn't been on lately.
I miss it, it's my favorite show.

the season isn't over, it's just airing in 3 seperate parts, with 3 seperate mysteries. Actually, I believe that the third set of episodes are all going to be stand-alone episodes, without any mystery arc connecting them all. And if the show is successful with that endeavor, and is signed for a 4th season, it might continue on that way next season.

I think when VM started on the CW, the changes were made so that VM would get a larger audience. Unfortunately, I don't think the changes were the best and CW isn't a big network so VM couldn't get a larger fanbase. I liked VM better at the UPN but since the first season it has been in a decline.

I just searched and it looks like it's still up in the air. The CW sent out a statement saying it hasn't been cancelled.

One would think that by moving this show to a network which is more widely available to the general public, the ratings would change, but it seems they have stayed static and haven't improved whatsoever. Ever since Veronica has moved out of high school the show has lost it's edge, the new title credits are confirmation of this. The mysteries this season have been less than amazing.
