how many windows do you use?

I usually have 2 windows going. one for Mylot and one for other things. If I had to many windows going for Mylot I would get to cofused lol

I am a bit dense with things! Two windows open would really confuse me! However I don't really seem to have aproblem with mylot running slow. But I have only been a member for three days!

Hey Mo no worries about the Blonde Moment lol at least yours are not Dangerous and makes everyones breath stuck lololol I actually only use one as my Internet does go pretty fast so I am ok with one window. But I do sometimes do something else with the Computer ( hmmm by the way you missed the P out in Computer but I won't tell anyone thats just between you and me) while I am in mylot so then I do have more then one Window open. I usually only need one window for mylot, but I usually have others open on other sites, and multi task (bit difficult for a mere male I know), I sometimes use Gabbly for chatting as well, but haven't used it much recently. Having a lot of windows open at the one time can cause the computer to slow down sometimes as well. I often listen to Saga 105.7 as well, which does use some bandwidth. (Showing my age). Also check my e-mails as well.

it depends on your internet speed too. if you have good speed then you can open as much window you want. i am using explorer 8 and in this you can open tabs in one window. so normally i keep i window for mylot and open around 5-6 tabs in that window. sometimes it goes to 10 but that makes my job easier and faster. i think you should try that if your internet speed is good.

Well to be quite honest and I am a brunette. I don't use but one. I really don't know how and it seems like if I try to do anything much my dial-up snaps off. Again and again. I am not cableready where we live, believe it or not. If you have any instructions to share with me I'd surely appreciate it.

I only use two window pages, sometimes the other one is for checking other sites and if ever search also for some videos on youtube. But most of the times, I use these two to make my responsing much faster and so that I wouldn't miss those topics which are not of my friends'.

Sorry Mummymo, I do not understand what you are saying exactly here do you mean how many pages I open at one time if you are then the answer is I only open one at a time as I then do not have hardly any problems and my computer when I do mylot or mostly anything is quite quick.

Well I use Mozilla firefox and so I use the tabs instead of new windows lol. I have anywhere between 2 and 6 tabs open at any one time, although I say this now and find that I have just the one open LOL. Go Figure!

Believe me you won't like the idea of having so many windows. I have more than 5 windows in sometimes and switching from one window to the other is not really wise. Another thing I have two monitors ready for my pc to make sure one is for the very important task and the other is for fun browsing.

I open as many windows and as many tabs to individually see topics that interests me. But normally, I just open 1 window with 3-5 tabs. 1. Discussions Ive started 2. Discussions from my Interests 3. Discussions my friends started 4. Discussions Ive Responded to 5. Viewing profiles/Top Discussions etc. Basically that's it. 3-5 tabs (I'm using Mozilla Firefox):D

Well, I usually use like 4 windows including winamp while on Mylot. I have Mylot, my e-mail, traffic exchange programs and winamp :)

Please tell me your using firefox? Download it directly from my site http://www.surf2earn.info/ scroll down its on the right somewhere :) Firefox is the Best thing ever made and you can Tab browse very easily I know you can do this in the ne IE but IE is not very secure

I have Firefox and so it lets me open a bunch of windows...like rightnow I have 4 pages up in the same box, it lets me open multiple with the 'new tab'.

When I first open my email in the morning before I even start to read it I open three more windows. One each for my notepad, news and myLot.

I usually have a few windows open 1 for myLot and a couple for other stuff I'm doing. The myLot window however can have anywhere from 2-3 tabs up to 15-20 sometimes more, as I tend to open a discussion and when I reach the bottom of the page if there is multiple pages and I see any other discussions at the bottom that interest me I will open them in a new tab so that I can have a look when I am finished with the one I am currently on. Also if I come across responses in a discussion that are very close to what I myself would respond with I quite often open that persons profile in another tab so that I can have a look and see what discussions they have posted and if there are any that I feel I can respond to. As you can imagine if the original discussion I am in has quite a few pages then by the time I reach the end of it I can have quite a few extra tabs open, as I don't look at the other tabs until I am finished with the original discussion then I just work my way through the other tabs, and usually find more to open on the way lol.

Don't feel bad...my life is FULL of blonde moments!!! I usually open 4 or 5 at a time, if I open more than that my computer seems to slow down =)

LOL we all have our moments don't we??? Well at the most I may have 2 open. One for mylot to do what it wants to do and another to maybe check emails while the other takes a while to do what it needs to do LOL
