Whoa.. I saw this one yesterday n I didn't know what to say! And a very strange thing happened when I was searching for this one.. I found a title called 300 Spartans.. Thinking it to b the same I downloaded it.. N surprise surprise.. The titles started appearing in Technicolor !!.. I thought it should be a gimmick of some kind and then know what.. It WAS the 70's movie.. Well disappointed n rejected I started watching it anyway n [ This was day before yesterday ].. N to my surprise it turned out to be one of the masterpieces.. It was simply great.. The performances were worth watching.. N then yesterday I saw the new one.. SO MUCH difference!!..[ I can't help comparing now ] The theme of the story is the same .. Even some of the quotes like "fight under the shade" n "sharing our culture".. But then the king of Spartan in the 70's movie was much more honorable [ In the new one they kill the messengers.. The queen of Spartans bares herself so that troops could b sent to support the king ] .. The plot much more clear, real n believable.. Having said that 300 currently is on top of the charts.. n for a good reason too.. The cinematography and the graphics in this movie r extraordinary! Although it's quite high in adrenalin and drama, even the performances of actors having minor roles is great.. I u r someone who cant digest violence then don't EVEN get close to this one.. Heads roll, blood flows and hands cut.. It's a good watch.. if u can find a fine print [ I did not :( ] BTW if any one could get a DVD rip plz post it.. PLEASE RATE THE MOVIE
