rewiring house

I would like to know...if I did all the crawling around in the dark, dusty, rank places, if I can reduce the cost of rewiring a house. I would do all the horrible work (removing old wires, dragging new wire through, etc), and a sparky can do all the actual 'wiring'? Could this be a possibility?

Of course it's possible and there's probably no reason why you can't do it, although I'll guess that you will probably have to have a certified electrician wire you to the mains. On the other hand, it's a messy and potentially hazardous job. I know that rewiring can be expensive, but there are some things that I think are best left to the experts.
