Megan I am really sorry to hear about your mum. I know you are not looking for sympathy but I can't help feeling for you. I would love to be near you and take you out to dinner of something to help cheer you up. Try to think of something cheerful. You have a daughter and just think that my Tuesday you will be starting your new life and everything is going to start gettin better for you. Love and hugs. xxx

It is so easy for many of us to associate a celebration day with enjoyment and forget that many people have suffered tragedies on that very day. Whether it is Easter or Christmas etcetera there will always be many people who have good reason not to enjoy the ocassion. Your post is a reminder to all of us that countless people have good reason not to celebrate, and we should be careful not to offend those that do not wish to join in.

sorry to hear about your mother, megan. we have a few days like that in our family loss of my brother, and now my nan.

megan that is so sad and unfortunately these dates come around every year to do the same thing! I guess we all have times that we feel sad about a date that reminds us of someone we have lost, I can honestly say I have quite a few! And even the length of the years since these loved have gone we still seem to remember them! Tomorrow will be another day, so hope you get through this one! :)caramello.

i understand you so good megan, because for me its the 13 march. my bro did the same 8 years ago, and i still cant forget it. but we can ask how much we want to, we dont get an answer. so lots of hugs to you

Really sorry to hear that St. Paddys day brings so much grief and anguish, I have a date like that to, July 5th, when it rolled around a couple of years ago I packed up a basket and took my kids to the beach. while I watched them have fun swimming and splashing in the sunshine I realized that I make this day what it is, not the horrible memory that had occupied it for so long. On this cursed anniversary, I try now to replace it with different memories....Hope today isn't too upsetting or painful for you.
